Regretfully, our secretary, Joan Blake has had to resign due to ill health. We would like to express our thanks to Joan for her service to the Association over the years and we wish her well in the future.

As a result, we are actively seeking new committee members so why not get in touch and join us. There's nothing onerous, we meet 4 times a year, please call Steve Freer on 845675 if you would like to attend our next committee meeting on Monday 8th December and see what it's like!

I am pleased to announce that we have just acquired our first member in Broadsands Avenue. In the past we have not covered this part of Broadsands but it makes sense for us to. We are therefore keen to attract more members from this road to give us an even bigger voice and a say on things that matter to our area.

The Government are proposing to build a new town the size of Brixham in the area West of Torbay. Th Association has been in communication with the Yalberton Valley Action Group, and they have provided us with a number of flyers that provided information about this. Steve Freer, Chairman had hand delivered these out to households within Broadsands and Elbury, and provided copies to members of the committee. For the time being, and until further details are known, we are writing to express and record our concerns.
