Business Meeting

Minutes of last years AGM dated 9th June 2008 were presented and approved. Proposed by Ken Prichard, seconded by Barry Phillips. No matters arising.

Chairman’s report delivered. No matters arising

Residents at Stone Park proposed a vote of thanks for Joan Blake’s service and work as secretary of the Association. The audience responded with a round of applause.

In accordance with the Associations’ constitution all current officers resigned.

The following offers were re-elected:

Steve Freer, Chairman, proposed by Nigel Brown, seconded by Mrs Fricker.

Stuart Ruffe, Vice Chairman, proposed by Mr Geoff Cawson, seconded by Mrs Maggie Harvey.

Andrew Edwards Hon Treasurer, proposed by Mrs Claire McGrath, seconded by Mrs Diane Silver.

The position of Secretary was not filled. Steve Freer agreed to continue as acting secretary.

Parking at the beach was discussed again.

Steve Freer had received a complaint about speeding cars travelling down Broadsands Road and a sign on the same road that is obscured by vegetation.

Meeting ended at 21.30
